Description
The kitchen office was scheduled to be cleaned at approximatley 4:00 PM on 14 October.
According to the normal cleaning schedule, the cleaner should have entered the office shortly after 4:00 PM.
However, the office was not cleaned that afternoon.
Initial Observations
- The office was scheduled for cleaning at 4:00 PM.
- The cleaner did not enter the office.
- The cleaner stated that they were told the office did not need cleaning.
- The office remained unoccupied for several minutes.
- The recipe disappeared during this general period.
Examination Notes
The cleaner stated that Helen told them that the office floor had already been cleaned.
Helen denies iving this interaction with the cleaner.
There is currently no independent evidence showing who gave the instruction.
Connection to the Case
Preventing the cleaner from entering the office created an uninterrupted period during which someone could enter the room without being questioned.
The timing is significant because Amy entered the office at 4:02 PM
Investigation Significance
Someone appears to have known that the office would normally be occupied by the cleaner. If the cleaner had entered the office at 4:00 PM, they might have seen whoever was inside.
