Description
A small piece of blue thread was discovered underneath the bottom left corner of the red recipe folder.
The thread was extremely small and was not immediately noticed when the missing recipe was first reported.
Initial Observations
- The thread is dark blue.
- It appears to be made from a synthetic material.
- It does not appear to have come from the red folder itself.
- The thread seems to to have been caught underneath the folder when it was moved.
Examination Notes
The thread was compared with various clothing items and bags belonging to the people know to have entered the kitchen area.
The thread is consistent with the material used in a blue reusable shopping bag. The evidence is not sufficient enough to prove that the thread came from a particular person.
Connection to the Case
A blue reusable shopping bag was seen in the kitchen earlier that afternoon.
The bag could potentially have been used to carry documents without making them immediately visible.
