Background

Sophie is an art historian who has orked at Westbrook Museum for five years. She is responsible for researching and organising historical exhibits.

Connection to the Statue

Sophie has been researching the Westbrook Founder Statue for the muesum's upcoming exhibit. During her research, she discovered inconsistencies between the museum's official records and several old documents.

She eventually discovered refrences to a hidden compartment iside the statue.

Sophie became convinced that something important had been deliberatley removed from the museum's historical records.

Statement

"I was preparing documents in my office until around 11:45. I left through the staff entrance and went home."

Sophie claims she was extremely upset when she discovered the statue had been damaged.

Alibi

Sophie says she was home by midnight.

Her neighbour remembers seeing her arrive at approximatley 11:55 PM.

Evidence Against Sophie Reed

There was one unusual detail.

Sophie had recently discovered that the statue had a hidden compartment that wasn't mentioned in the museum's public records. She has also requested that the statue's plaque be removed for "restoration purposes".

The plaque is now missing.
