Description
A medium-sized Phillips-head screwdiver was discovered inside the maintenance room. The screwdrivr fits the screws used to attatch the missing bronze plaque.
Initial Observations
The tool appears recenlty cleaned. No usable fingerprints were recovered from the handle.
Connection to the Case
The screwdriver could have been used to remove the plaque. The maintenance room is normally accessibe to museum staff.
Investigation Significance
HIGH
The lack of fingerprints is suspicious.
However, because the screwdriver is a common museum maintenance tool, investigators cannot prove who used it.
Investigator's Note
Someone wiped this clean. That suggests they understood the importance of fingerprints.
