Description

The bronze historical plaque normally attatced to the front of the statue is missing. The mounting screws remain partially intact.

The plaque does not appear to have been ripped or smashed away. The screws show signs that the plaque was carefully removed.

The plaque contains historical informaion about the statue and was specifically targeted during the incident.

Investigation Significance

CRITICAL

This suggests that the vandalism may have had a specific purpose.

The person responsible may hve been looking for informaion rather than simply trying to damage the statue.

Investigator's Note

This is not consistent with random vandalism. Whoever removed the plaque had time, tools and a reason.
