Background

Connection to the Statue

Leo recently created a university project about controvesial historical monuments. The Westbrook FOunder Statue was the main subject of his project.

During his research. Leo discovered that the statue's original plaque had been replaced in 1986. He publicly accused the museum of hiding information about its history.

Statement

"I think the statue is ugly, but that doesn't mean I destroyed it. I was at the Riverside Cafe that night. You can check."

Leo had publicly complained about the museum spending money restoring the statue.

Alibi

Leo claims he was at Riverside Cafe between 10:30 PM and 12:15 AM.

The cafe's recipt system confirms that Leo purchased a drink at 10:34 PM. However, there is no obvious evidence proving he remained there until 12:15.
