Description
A concealed compartment was discovered beneath the damaged section of the statue's base.
Inside investigators found:
- One old photograph
- Several handwritten names
- One newspaper clipping dated 1947
- One small metal key labelled "Archive 3"
Initial Observations
The compartment appears to have been deliberately constructed when the statue was originally installed. It was not visible from outside.
Connection to the Case
The vandalism appears to have exposed the compartment.
This suggests that whoever damaged the statue may have known it existed.
Investigation Significance
CRITICAL
This is potentially the most important piece of evidence in the entire invetigation. It provides a possible motive for the vandalism and connects the incident to the statue's hidden history.
Investigator's Note
The damage wasn't random. The vandalism exposed exactly the area where the compartment was hidden. Someone knew what they were looking for.
