An original black-and-white photograph showing the Westbrook Founder Statue shortly after its installation in 1947.
Initial Observations
The statue in the photograph has a different plaque from the one that was attatched to the statue today
Connection to the Case
Museum records state that the current plaque was inatalled in 1986. No clear explanation has been found for the replacement.
Investigation Significance
VERY HIGH
This provides evidence that the statue's official history may be incomplete.
It also give investigators a possible reason why someone would specifficalyy target the plaque.
